Providing step-by-step instructions for guide wire insertion, drilling of the intramedullary canal and measurement of both the canal size and nail length, he outlines the use of fluoroscopy to minimise rotational corrections. Demonstrating IM nail, lag screw and compression screw insertion, Dr Chan concludes with tips for distal locking screw placement and wound closure.
